Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seekest findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 KJV)
As I sat in my bed praying this evening about being molded into the person Yeshua wants me to be, He showed me a few things about myself that I need to work on, to polish me up, so to speak. These kinds of thoughts go through my mind at least once or twice a day, if not more here lately. I know that God is working on His children and giving them eyes to see their own hearts, and showing us the things about ourselves that changing will sanctify and make us clean. So that we His bride are ready when He returns.
This thought, in turn made me realize even more that we are in the very last of days. God tells us through His prophets, that just before His return, young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams. I believe God is preparing His children for the wrath He has set aside for the earth. Jesus will return soon to gather His flock to protect them from the horror that is coming upon mankind. This brings me to the reason for this post:
I am a follower of Jesus Christ. The Jesus Christ written in the Torah and the Bible and my personal responsibility as one of His flock, is to plea for the salvation of those who have not accepted Him as their lord and Savior. I am not asking you to do anything but listen to what I have to say before you make a hasty decision that could cost you your very soul. I want to start by asking you a few simple questions. I want you to read each question and really think about your answer before you choose one. And next, you must be completely honest with yourself and with everyone else about your answers.
- If you had a choice to choose where you will live eternally, would you choose a place that is filled with fire and brimstone, with torment, and screams in the air;
or would you choose:
- a place where there is no pain, no suffering, complete joy and happiness, a place where everyone gets along with everyone, no more hunger, no more tears, and no more pain? Which of these two scenarios would you choose?
Quite honestly, I cannot imagine anyone choosing to go where there will be pain and suffering. What gets me is how so many people make the choice to live eternally in pain and suffering. Why? Have you ever really sat and wondered why you choose to live eternally in pain? It absolutely makes no sense to do so. Yet, every day people are following the god of this world and not the God of the bible.
Honestly, I cannot imagine anyone who would want to choose the first! I believe most people really do want to live in harmony with each other. But every time you choose to go to the dark side, it pulls you further and further away from having a choice to choose one way or the other. The time is slipping away quickly, for He will unleash His wrath upon this world. Are you prepared?
My second question to you is: If you would choose to live in peace and harmony with others, and to live in paradise,
- What do you think it takes to live in a world where there is no pain and hunger?
- Will your works get you into an eternal life in paradise?
What is really sad is that most people think they will live eternally with God because they have been a good person throughout their lifetime. If this is how you feel, please take a moment to listen to these next words and think about them. Once you do this re-ask the questions and be honest with yourself about your answers.
- What makes a person good? Is there anything we can do as human beings that makes us good?
Many of you will give answers such as helping others, protecting children, donating to those less fortunate, etc. If you think such acts are enough to give you eternal life, let’s look at what God says you must do to obtain eternal life in Him.
God provided us a set of standards that we are to live by. These standards are known as the Ten Commandments. The first of these is known as the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-38) according to Jesus.
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength (Deuteronomy 6:5).
When you delve deeper into this scripture you will learn that loving God is accepting Him and His laws completely. In order for man to love God, we must understand just how much God loves us. Do you understand just how much He loves you? I mean, do you REALLY understand just how much God loves you? Let’s take a look….
- Think about your children and how much you love them, want to protect them, and how you would do almost anything to make sure they were never hurt by another person or thing. Does this sum up the way you feel about your children? Now think about what God did for you so that you could learn to accept His love for you. You will find this answer in John 3:16, “For God SO LOVED the world (that means all people and things within the world) that He (came down from Heaven to live as one of us in the form of Jesus) gave His only Son (Jesus) to die on a cross so that we could be free from sin and unrighteousness.” How would it feel to watch your child suffer an agonizing death at the hands of people who hate Him? This is what Jesus did for you. Now ask yourself if you love God enough to sacrifice the things of the world (pick up your cross) and follow Him. Are you obeying the first commandment by loving God?
I am not going to go through all of the Ten Commandments, but I am going to list a few of them.
- Have you ever told a lie? If you have ever lied, this makes you a liar in God’s standards.
- Have you ever stolen anything? If so, that makes you a thief in God’s standards.
Just because you have done these things, does not mean that you cannot be redeemed from them. Jesus Christ laid down His life so that you could be forgiven for the wrong-doings in your life. You can be redeemed and can live eternally with God.
Do you know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God? If you don’t know Him, it is time to introduce yourself. He will accept you as the broken, unhealthy soul that you are. It does not matter what language you speak, what color your skin, where you live, or how old you are….HE will pull you into his bosom and shower you with love, acceptance, understanding, guidance, and peace. He does not want you to suffer for Him, but He also knows that some of you will, because He first suffered for us. He has taken all of this upon Himself so that you could be free from oppression, free from false teachers, and false religions, that are not teaching the true gospel. Many televangelists that I have seen throughout my life have taught that getting richer is what it is all about…. Materialism….just another name for greed. To name a few Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Joyce Mayer, and the list goes on and on. The world has turned on God for the things of the world, just as the bible said it would.
It is time for us as God’s family to stand up and take notice of what we are doing. The family has fallen to the wayside and been taken up with television shows, video games, and anything else to keep the family from spending time together. When I was a kid, I would read or listen to the radio, or I was playing outside. Today kids sit in front of the television sets watching immoral shows such as Family Guy, The Simpsons, or YouTube videos that are so far from any sense of morality. It is no wonder our society is falling apart. God used to be the center of the family, now….the center of the family (what it boils down to) is satan. How can I say it is satan? Because he was thrown down from heaven into the Earth, and became the god of this world. Celebrities worship him, politicians worship him, and many churches today worship him.
If you would like to break the bonds that satan has on you, there are a few things you must do to enter into God’s kingdom. Those are: First believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess with your heart that you have sinned and fall short of God’s glory, and third turn away from your sin and repent. That is all that is required for you to have everlasting life with Jesus.
If you would like to learn more please read through the blogs on our site, ask questions, and find a church that teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ. First read the blog posted “The Sinners Prayer”. There is not much time left before God washes His hands of those who choose not to follow Him.
God bless you in your walk, start reading your Bible and continue to learn about God through reading His word, prayer, and finding other people who will help you in your walk with Jesus. If you have accepted Jesus, I want to welcome you into His family and I pray that you get baptized in the name of Jesus.
Much love from us to you…
